My Bio

I have a Patreon now: https://www.patreon.com/user?u=37528723 And yes I feel like a creep begging you all for money, but, with the way things are right now, I need to. (I'm still new to the whole process though and I don't have anything by way of rewards yet, but, I intend to add them, turn some of my drawings into T-shirt designs, user requested reviews, and personalized fanfiction, that sort of thing)

As for my hobbies and interests: My Name is Allen Gilliland and I am an aspiring writer and sketch artist. My primary focus for the time being is the Reaper-Born Universe, a world of my own making that contains many varied and interesting characters. I also have been known to dabble into fanfiction and have actually gotten some fairly decent responses from my Venomverse concept drawings. In addition I do reviews and write opinion pieces, you can check them all out here on my page.

(So, every month in April, I like to make a review, take a look at something from my favorite franchise the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and since last year I took a look at the Last Ronin, well, let’s take a look at one of its spin-offs, this is a review of TMNT – The Last Ronin: The Lost Days, enjoy) Summary: We follow April through the city with the new group of turtles (Uno, Yi, Moja, and Odyn) on a tour through the city, exploring the landscape after the fall of the Foot Clan and celebrating one peaceful, beautiful day. The Good: I love that April refers to this new batch of turtles as her ‘granbabies’, it literally warms my heart to hear/see/read that. Odyn is absolutely precious and I can’t get enough of him, but the others are in a good position for future development. That’s basically what I’ve got to say for everybody in the comic is in a good position, it’s not so much a story as a set up, a series premier, and I’d say it’s pretty strong as premiers go. I do question

(Because I do like to close these things up, let’s take a look at volume 2 of the most recent WildC.A.T.s comic, enjoy) Summary: Okay, following on from the last volume (issues 1-6), we see Grifter having murdered Void and, by way of unexpected consequence, has now found himself falling through the dimensions into various different potential timelines. Meanwhile, his team are trying to pick up the pieces after their, rather forcible, exit from the Halo corporation. Somewhere along the way, world domination gets thrown in there as well. The Good: As a fan of the original series, I like what they did with Grifter and Zealot, they’ve always been in this weird holding pattern of being clearly into each other but also unable to commit (Zealot, and yes I’m referring to her as Zealot not Zahanna, because that’s her name dammit, is a thousand year old alien warrior whose sole loyalty belongs to the war she’s fighting, and Grifter is a human simp who could literally die tomorrow). This is

(Well, I had plans to cover something else, but, eh, it just didn’t develop, by chance I rolled across this and, yeah, let’s talk about it) Summary: So, some years after the entire world had gone totally buttfuck, you get...well, you basically get a soft Fallout knock-off. Each city has its own quirks and, despite being the only sustainable safe havens, is, generally speaking, run by a bunch of power-mad dictators. The spaces in between aren’t much better, essentially degenerating to lawless kill zones where the only people crazy enough to actually risk their lives and keep the millstones of society turning are the Milkmen, heavily armed transporters who drive armored cars across a bandit riddled wasteland. The Good: I mean...it’s one Hell of a good soundtrack, a great example of using a pop-song base to actually compliment and enhance the scenes (Hell, I haven’t cried this hard over the death of a vehicle since Once Piece). The story doesn’t really have any lulls either. That said,
